Have you gone through a particularly rough time in your
diabetes management? How did you deal with it?
My name is Mariah. I have type two
diabetes. I have an insulin pump. I like it, I'm just kind of tired of
everything. Sometimes I feel like I don't want to be on the pump and I want to
take shots and others I'm okay with the pump, but it doesn't work like that so I
deal with it. Lately I've been kind of depressed. I'm soooo tired of dealing
with all of this, I feel so much pressure to do good by my diabetes, but I can't
succeed. I'm always in trouble because my numbers are pretty much always high
and my mom is really stressed out about it. She just worries so much about me.
I'm a teen and that's not always on my mind, but she wants it to be first next
to my grades. She says that I don't try and don't give it any effort, but she
doesn't really know. So I'm still really dealing with my diabetes and probably
will be for the rest of my life unless a miracle happens but I'll deal with it
and I know things will start to get better I just have to try harder to get what
I want and where I need to be.
